The Central Coast Mariners have returned to pre-season training this week in preparation for the A-League 2020/21 campaign.
After testing and screening and a light session on Monday, the boys were put through their paces on Tuesday and will continue to build as they await news on the detail and structure of the upcoming season.
Head Coach Alen Stajcic was pleased to be back out on the pitch after the stop-start nature of football experienced this year.
āItās been great to get back on the pitch after another long layoff,ā he said on Tuesday.

āItās been one of those years where we had the long break with COVID, and then another one post-season but weāre just really excited to get back on the pitch and start the hard work thatās necessary in pre-season before we get into the competition.ā
āWeāre lucky that we have long pre-seasons in Australia so we donāt have to rush things, but this period is about setting the platform of where we are and where we want to be.ā
With 13 players contracted currently, including a couple to be announced soon, Staj said that there is plenty of work happening behind the scenes to build out the team.
āWeāre still in the process of getting the squad together and weāve got 13 who are signed on at the moment,ā he said.
āEveryone continues to work through the resolution of the CBA and the other certainties involved in the game, but Iād expect us to fill out the squad in the next few weeks.ā
Current Squad (Announced): Jack Clisby, Jordan Murray, Daniel DeSilva, Adam Pearce, Kye Rowles, Gianni Stensness, Ruon Tongyik, Joshua Nisbet, Lewis Miller, Alou Kuol
