Central Coast Mariners Football Club today confirmed Alyssar Narey as Chief Executive Officer, as the Club enters its next chapter under new owners Total Soccer Growth Holdings (TSG).
TSG, an international football ownership group led by Ruben Gnanalingam, was announced as the Mariners’ new owner in June and took operational control of the A-League Men and Academy programs on 01 July 2026. TSG’s ownership brings international football experience and a commitment to sustainable growth, player development and strengthening the Mariners’ connection with the Central Coast.
Alyssar returned to the Mariners in January 2026 during a challenging period for the Club. Since then, she has led a period of stabilisation and renewal, with a focus on strengthening the organisation and reconnecting the Club with its community and supporters.
A key focus has been bringing the A-League Men and Academy programs closer together with the business side of the Club, creating greater clarity, stronger communication and a shared direction for the Mariners.
“I’m proud of the progress we’ve made over the past several months,” said Alyssar Narey. “When I returned, our immediate priority was to bring stability back to the Club and rebuild trust with our people, supporters and community.
“The Mariners mean an enormous amount to the Central Coast, and we’ve been very conscious that trust is earned through what we do, not simply what we say.
“With TSG now in place, we have a strong platform to build from and a clear direction for where we want to take the Club.
“Our ambition is to be successful on and off the pitch, develop great players and people, build a strong and sustainable Club and make sure the Mariners continue to represent the Central Coast with pride.
“We’ve made good progress, but there is plenty of work ahead of us. I’m excited about what we can build together.”
Sporting Director Matt Simon said rebuilding the connection between the football department and the wider Club had been important to the Mariners’ next phase.
“The last period has been challenging for everyone involved with the Mariners, so bringing the Club back together has been really important,” said Simon.
“Alyssar has earned a lot of respect and trust across the organisation and I’ve really valued the way we’ve been able to work together.
“She knows this Club, understands what it means to the Central Coast and genuinely cares about where we’re going. I believe she is the right person to lead us into this next phase.
“We all want the same thing – success on the pitch and a strong club off it. We’re moving forward together, and that gives me a lot of confidence.”
TSG owner Ruben Gnanalingam said the group was excited about the next chapter for the Mariners and confident in Narey’s leadership.
“Since becoming involved with the Mariners, we’ve been impressed by Alyssar’s leadership, her understanding of the Club and the relationships she has built across the organisation and the Central Coast,” Gnanalingam said.
“Continuity is important as we begin this next chapter. Alyssar has a clear understanding of where the Club has been, where it needs to go and what is required to get there. We’re very pleased to have her leading the Mariners.”
With preparations well underway for the A-League Men 2026/27 season, kicking off with the F3 Derby against Newcastle Jets on 17 October at polytec stadium, the Mariners now turn their focus to the future – building a strong and sustainable Club, competing for success and strengthening the Club’s connection with the Central Coast community.
