Big weekend of football at ‘our paradise’ polytec stadium | Weekend Preview

Two huge games of football await the Central Coast Mariners this  weekend, with both the men’s and women’s sides in action at ‘Our Paradise’ polytec Stadium in the Isuzu UTE A-League and Ninja A-League.

Isuzu UTE A-League Men Mariners v Macarthur FC

Saturday 17 January – Kick off: 6:00pm

The action gets underway on Saturday evening as the Mariners  men return home to face Macarthur FC. Coming off a frustrating  away loss to Perth Glory, the Mariners will be eager to respond in  front of their home fans and secure a vital three points.

It will be the first meeting between the two sides this season, with Macarthur currently sitting third on the A-League ladder. The visitors arrive in strong form, but the Mariners will be confident of bouncing back at home as they look to climb back up the table  and re-establish momentum in the second half of the campaign.

With plenty on the line, Saturday night promises a high intensity contest under the lights at polytec Stadium.

Ninja A-League Women Mariners v Perth Glory

Sunday 18 January – Kick off: 5:00pm

Attention then turns to Sunday afternoon as the Mariners women take on Perth Glory in what shapes as a crucial clash in the Ninja  A-League.

The Mariners head into the match full of confidence following an  impressive F3 Derby victory away to Newcastle Jets last weekend.  Currently sitting third on the ladder, a win could see the Mariners  push further toward the top of the table.

Standing in their way is a Perth side in form, sitting just two points  behind the Mariners and chasing a third consecutive victory. With  both teams firmly in the finals race, fans can expect a competitive  and entertaining encounter to round out the weekend.

Two home matches, two massive opportunities – it’s set to be a big weekend of football at ‘Our Paradise’.
