Central Coast Mariners Women are looking to bounce back after defeat last weekend as they make the trip to Western Sydney on Sunday afternoon.
Last time out, the Mariners fell to a narrow 1-0 defeat to Adelaide at Woy Woy Oval. Despite creating a number of chances we couldn’t find a way past Reds’ keeper Claudia Jenkins.
This Sunday provides a great opportunity for the Mariners return to winning ways as they face off against the Ninja A-League bottom club.
Wanderers have won just once this season, putting them bottom of the table, level on points with rivals Sydney FC on six points.
Last time out, they suffered a 3-0 home defeat to Wellington Phoenix, a match in which they conceded 44 shots on goal.
However, the Mariners still need to be weary of the Wanderers who will be keen for a response and will take confidence from doing the double over us in the Ninja A-League last season, winning 3-0 at Wanderers Football Park and 2-1 at Our Paradise.
