The Central Coast Mariners are pleased to announce that goalkeeper Chloe Carmichael has signed a new one-year scholarship deal with the club, keeping the 21-year-old on the Coast for the upcoming campaign.
Having come through the Football NSW Institute while also featuring for the Junior Matildas, Carmichael signed her first A-League deal at the beginning of last season.
The 21-year-old was named on the bench multiple times throughout her debut campaign, learning under two of the leagues most experienced goalkeepers.
At the conclusion of the 23/24 A-League season, Carmichael stayed on the Coast, playing regularly and impressing for our Academy First Grade team in the NSW League One competition.
A modern goalkeeper with strong reflexes and quality ball distribution skills, she has now returned back to our Ninja A-League squad for pre-season training and is eager for the season ahead.
“I am super excited to be back with the Mariners again. I learnt so much here last season, it was an amazing place to grow as a goalkeeper and I know that that will continue this year,” Carmichael said.
“I love how community based the Mariners are, being the community club, and how much the Coast get right around the team. It is going to be a big season, and we can’t wait to see our amazing fans again.”
Central Coast Mariners Ninja A-League Head Coach Emily Husband is pleased to again be able to offer Carmichael a scholarship deal for the upcoming season.
“Chloe coming in last season, she had a great year with us. She worked extremely hard with her development, and we were able to see that in her constant progression in training,” Husband said.
“We have a lot of faith in Chloe to continue to develop this year, and we look forward to working closely with her as a member of our squad this season.”
