Central Coast Mariners Women’s Head Coach Emily Husband has been nominated for the January Liberty A-League Coach of the Month award.
Husband is up for the award for the first time and has been nominated alongside Western’s Kat Smith, Melbourne City’s Dario Vidosic and Western Sydney Wanderers’ Robbie Hooker.
Our Head Coach oversaw a fantastic month that saw her side take 10 from 15 points in a busy period, making significant steps to securing a finals’s spot and they still hold fifth place with just five games remaining in the Liberty A-League.
Their only loss in January against Western Sydney Wanderers, whilst Husband’s side took four points from two matches against 22/23 Premiers Sydney FC, including the most dramatic of wins at Leichhardt Oval.

The Mariners were also victorious at Leichhardt for Unite Round, winning 2-1 against Wellington Phoenix, and they rounded off January with an impressive F3 Derby victory away to Newcastle Jets, as Kyah Simon made her return to action.
You can watch Husband’s team in action next on Sunday, as they host Adelaide United at Our Paradise, kick-off 4pm.
