Trent Sainsbury
4 DefenderTrent Sainsbury returned to the Central Coast Mariners at the beginning of the 2024/25 Isuzu UTE A-League season after 10 years away, being named Club Captain in his first season back.
Having won the 2012/13 Isuzu UTE A-League title at just 21-years-old, Sainsbury went on to play for Eredivisie outfit PEC Zwolle, Jiangsu FC, Inter Milan, Grasshopper Club, PSV Eindhoven, Maccabi Maifa, Kortrijk and Al-Wakrah SC.
Sainsbury has played 61 games for the Socceroos, helping Australia win the 2015 AFC Asian Cup with a Player of the Match performance in the Final against Son Heung-min’s South Korea.
