Females around Australia and indeed the world have a new reason to pick the Central Coast Mariners as their Hyundai A-League club of choice after star defender Zac Anderson was named as one of the nation’s 30 most eligible bachelors today.
Anderson, who has played with the Mariners since 2012, is this year taking part in CLEO Magazine’s Bachelor of the Year competition having been recognised for his good looks, smarts, and talent on the football pitch by the popular magazine earlier this year.
Anderson, 23, combines his professional football commitments with part-time law studies, proving that his skills aren’t limited to shutting down attacks from rival Hyundai A-League players.
Anderson is the only Hyundai A-League player to feature in this year’s CLEO bachelor search, and says he’d make a good winner because he’s “a down to earth guy” who enjoys the little things in life.
“I guess I am just going to play on the dark horse tag!” Anderson said of his chances of taking out the overall title of CLEO’s Most Eligible Bachelor.
Voting in the CLEO Bachelor of the Year competition is open from today through to 5pm on Friday 3 October, 2014, with fans able to vote up to 30 times per person per day throughout this period.
