The Central Coast Mariners are gearing up for their next clash of the Hyundai A-League season that will see them face off against Western Sydney Wanderers at Spotless Stadium on Saturday evening.

For the Mariners it will be their first ever trip to the Wanderers’ new home at Sydney Olympic Park and Paul Okon has named his provisional squad leading into round four.

After spending a month away with the Young Socceroos in Bahrain competing in the AFC U-19 Championship, Liam Rose returned to training with the Central Coast Mariners this week.

Despite a robust midfield pairing of Mickael Tavares and Nick Montgomery, Liam Rose becomes available for selection straight away and will provide welcomed selection headaches for Okon who also has Adam Berry at his disposal in the middle of the park.

Okon’s attacking weapons in Roy O’Donovan, Blake Powell, Connor Pain, Fabio Ferreira, Trent Buhagiar, Josh Bingham & Kwabena Appiah are all available and will contest for a spot in the weekend’s final squad.

After making his debut off the bench last week against Brisbane Roar, Scott Galloway has been pushing hard at training this week to crack into Okon’s starting 11.

In the injury ward, Jacob Poscoliero is working hard to return from a quad injury and Harry Ascroft is working his way back to full fitness with a groin inury.
