Alen Stajcic has named his first provisional squad as Mariners Caretaker Coach ahead of the club’s 47th #F3Derby against the Newcastle Jets. Kick-off is 5:35pm at McDonald Jones Stadium.

After being appointed on Tuesday, Stajcic will only have two full training sessions (Thursday & Friday) to determine who will front up for Saturday’s #F3Derby.

Kye Rowles’ impressive season has resulted in a late call up to the Australia U-23 squad for the upcoming 2020 AFC U-23 Championship Qualifiers in Cambodia. He will be unavailable for this weekend’s match against the Jets. Also on tour with the Australian squad is Aiden O’Neill.

Club Captain Matt Simon will serve the final week of his two-game suspension.

On the injury front, in great news for Mariners fans, Tom Hiariej is in line to complete his recovery from a groin injury in time to take on the Newcastle Jets.
