Half a dozen of the Mariners’ finest young prospects have been named in Jan Versleijen’s combined Qantas Olyroos and Qantas Young Socceroos squad to attend a training camp at the AIS.
The Central Coast Mariners have had 6 players named in a 31-man combined Qantas Olyroos and Qantas Young Socceroos squad due to attend a training camp at the AIS next week.
Mustafa Amini, Oliver Bozanic, Sam Gallagher, Bernie Ibini-Isei, Mathew Ryan and Trent Sainsbury have all been rewarded for making an impact during the club-s run in to the 2011 Hyundai A-League Grand Final, and will join coach Jan Versleijen in Canberra on Monday.
The camp will be used as preparation for the coming youth internationals, including 2012 London Olympics Asian Qualifiers and FIFA U-20 World Cup competition matches.
The Qantas Olyroos will take on Peru in the second round of qualifiers in mid-June, while the Qantas Young Socceroos will depart for the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Colombia in July.
