Central Coast Mariners left-back Joshua Rose has capped an outstanding season in the Yellow and Navy, by being crowned the Mariners Medalist for 2010/11.

Rose arrived at the Mariners prior to the commencement of season six, following a stint in the Romanian top-flight, and was a standout throughout the campaign, to be voted the season-s best by his teammates in a 3-2-1 voting system.

Rose scored three goals from left back and has been credited with seven assists, many as a result of his trademark speedy runs down the left flank.

Also honoured at this afternoon-s function at Quay West Resort Magenta Shores was golden boot Matthew Simon, who held off Adam Kwasnik by a solitary goal to finish on 11 goals for the campaign and win the title for the third year in a row.

Mathew Ryan was also honoured following his NAB Young Footballer award and the Joe Marston Medal for man of the match in the Grand Final.
