Tomas, this must be a dream come true for you?
Yeah, I guess you could say that. I feel very proud and honoured to get the call up and I just can-t wait to get started.

What was your reaction when you first heard?
I was a little bit lost for words to be honest … I certainly didn-t expect it. For it to happen was just a little bit overwhelming so I am very grateful and I am looking forward to being part of the squad.

And Maty Ryan your Mariners teammate will be making the trip to Korea Republic with you…
I will be along with Maty which certainly helps. I guess from the Club-s point of view it-s great to have two youngsters get a call up so yeah, it-s great.

Holger Osieck watched you on Saturday against Sydney FC. Did you know he was there?
I found out after the match that he was there. I guess knowing that I had done quite well and as a team we performed very well, I guess it was a little bit of a bonus that he was watching.

How much do you credit Graham Arnold with your development?
Massively. I think since I-ve come to the Club I-ve learnt a lot from Arnie and the rest of the coaching staff. I think I am certainly in good hands here and with the players around me, without them I wouldn-t be in this position without them. So it-s great, and I feel very proud. Everybody in the team has their roles to do and they are made pretty clear by Arnie and what he expects and what our jobs are in the squad. To do my role and know that I can help the team if I perform well is pleasing.

This trip will likely leave you in good stead to be part of the squad in the future…
I-m not getting carried away. I am so honoured and humbled to be part of the squad. Any game time or anything like that would just be a bonus. I-m just going over there to just learn a lot in my short time there and I just can-t wait.

You-re a former Futsalroo. Have you watched their matches at the Futsal World Cup in Thailand?
I-ve watched their two matches and it was great to see against Mexico that they got a win. I still talk to a lot of the boys in the side … it was a very good performance by them and it was great to watch.
