After months of phone calls, video analysis, handshake deals and many tough decisions, John Hutchinson has all but finalised the team he will lead out on Saturday May 23 at Pluim Park, Lisarow for the John Hutchinson Testimonial Match.
In the Hyundai A-League’s first Testimonial match, Hutch’s hand picked squad will face off against the current Central Coast Mariners team in what will be a unique and family friendly match day for everyone involved. Tickets can be purchased by clicking here.Â
Players of the present like Bernie Ibini will be teaming up with superstars from the past like the great Tom Pondeljak who will join Hutch and take on the current Mariners line up across three 25-minute periods of play.
Hutch is also in contract negotiations with several other former Mariners players that could be named in addition at a later date.
Players will come from all over the globe to be a part of Hutch’s Testimonial and an honourable mention must go to defender Chris Doig who is flying all the way from Scotland to be a part of the day.
In the coming weeks leading into the match we will select and feature players who have successfully gained a position in Hutch’s squad to hear their reaction to their place in Mariners’ history.
