Anthony Caceres has emerged as the big winner at the Central Coast Mariners 2015 Medal Dinner at Terrigal Crowne Plaza on Friday night as a dual award recipient.

Anthony Caceres has emerged as the big winner at the Central Coast Mariners 2015 Medal Dinner at Terrigal Crowne Plaza on Friday night as a dual award recipient.

The 22-year-old attacking midfielder took home both the 2015 Mariners Medal and the 2015 Men of Football Damien Brown Medal.

The Mariners Medal is the most prestigious individual award of the night that is decided on a 3-2-1 basis, selected by the players after each game across the Hyundai A-League season in which his peers have deemed Caceres the best player through out the 2014/15 campaign.

Caceres has experienced an incredible season that has seen him establish himself as one of the most exciting young talents in the Hyundai A-League, having featured in 26 of the 27 Mariners’ fixtures this season that included a goal of the year contender against Adelaide United in Round 21 at Coopers Stadium.

This is Caceres’ third season in the Hyundai A-League with the Central Coast Mariners and he joins a prestigious list of Mariners Medallists including  

There weer a total of seven awards presented throughout the night, which included:

  • Central Coast Mariners Official Supporters Group Player of the Year: Liam Reddy
  • Men of Football Damien Brown Medal: Anthony Caceres
  • Foxtel National Youth League Player of the Year: Josh Bingham
  • Noel Spencer Goal of the Year: Nick Montgomery
  • Golden Boot: Fabio Ferreira, Eddy Bosnar & Matt Simon
  • John Hutchinson Club Person of the Year: Andrew Nealon
  • Mariners Medal: Anthony Caceres

Central Coast Mariners newly appointed CEO Shaun Mielekamp also made some big statements on the night, ensuring fans of 13 home matches as well as six NSW derbies to be played at Central Coast Stadium through out the Hyundai A-League 2015/16 Season.
