Mickael Tavares joined the Central Coast Mariners alongside his cousin and fellow former Sydney FC player Jacques Faty in the lead up to the Hyundai A-League 2016/17 season. Tavares alongside Faty played major roles in Sydney’s 2015 Grand Final appearance and has a burning motivation to go one better and win the Championship with the Central Coast Mariners. The French born Senegalese international is best known for his attributes as an experienced defensive midfielder who is known to get forward and contribute in attack.
