The 4,000th person to join as a Mariners Member for our Championship defence was long-time supporter Michael Ritchie.
Michael has enjoyed watching the yellow and navy at Bluetongue Stadium as a Blue Member for the last five years, and says he loves attending all of the home fixtures alongside his group of friends.
He encourages other supporters to jump on board and help the Club reach its target of 5,000 Members, as he says it-s important that the local community get behind and support their Championship-winning team.
Michael has had many favourite players since the Club-s inaugural Hyundai A-League season, but admits Mile Jedinak won a place in his heart and he has followed his career closely since his departure in season four. More recently, former Central Coast veteran defender Patrick Zwaanswijk, who is now the Club-s Head of Youth & Community Football, was also a personal favourite.
Like many supporters, Michael describes Central Coast-s 3-0 win over Newcastle Jets in the second leg of the Major Semi-Final in the Hyundai A-League 2007/08 season, which saw the yellow and navy qualify for the decider, as his favourite moment as a Mariners fan.
