Central Coast Mariners midfielder Michael McGlinchey played the full 90 minutes for New Zealand-s National Team in an international friendly against Trinidad and Tobago in Port of Spain yesterday.

McGlinchey and his All Whites teammates drew 0-0 with the Soca Warriors as they continued their preparations for their home-and-away 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifying playoff – now confirmed to be against Mexico – in November.

Mexico suffered a 2-1 defeat by Costa Rica in San Jose yesterday, though a pair of late goals from the USA ensured a 3-2 win over Panama, which means the All Whites will face Mexico at the impressive Estadio Azteca on November 13. The return leg will take place a week later in Wellington, with a sold out crowd anticipated in the Kiwi capital.

McGlinchey is currently returning to Australia from Central America.
