Mayor Graham’s unique request

Mayor Graham’s unique request

Central Coast Mariners Director, Councillor Bob Graham, had just one special request when he was elected to his fifth term as Mayor of Wyong Shire Council in September.

After years of loyal service to the region, Mayor Graham simply wanted a Hyundai as his Mayoral vehicle.

“I specifically asked the General Manager for a Hyundai because I personally bought an i30 a couple of years ago and it’s been a brilliant car,” Mayor Graham said.

“My new car is a Hyundai i45 Premium and it’s great. While it has more bells and whistles than a spaceship, I was also mindful of the better fuel economy it offered when compared to the traditionally larger Mayoral cars.”

Last week, Mariners Head Coach Graham Arnold handed Mayor Graham the keys to his new wheels.

“I-m led to believe I am the only Mayor in Australia driving a Hyundai as their Mayoral vehicle,” Mayor Graham said.

“Obviously, I want to support the companies and businesses that support football, and Hyundai have been and continue to be a major partner of football in Australia.”
