The Central Coast Mariners have today received an official notice from Football Federation Australia that Matt Simon, has been cited under the FFA National Code of Conduct.
The citing relates to alleged conduct engaged in by Simon immediately after receiving an indirect red card in or around the 95th minute of the Round 20 Hyundai A-League Match between Central Coast Mariners and Brisbane Roar on 22 February 2019.
The Central Coast Mariners and Simon have the opportunity to provide a submission by 5pm (AEDT) on Monday, 4 March 2019. The sanctions applicable for a breach of the FFA National Code of Conduct include a reprimand, a fine and/or suspension from participation in a match or matches.
The Central Coast Mariners will take this opportunity to review all options available to the club, and provide an update in due course.
