The last time the Mariners met the Sky Blues at Gosford-s idyllic bayside arena Daniel McBreen netted a hat trick as the yellow & navy tore their big city foes apart to win 7-2.
With Sydney currently on a four-game winning streak and the Mariners eager to return to winning ways at Fortress Bluetongue following a last start draw against Melbourne Victory, the game between the NSW rivals promises to be one of the clashes of week 9 of Australia-s top flight.
On top of the football action, Lee Academy – as seen on Australia-s Got Talent – will perform at half-time, while Central Coast and Sydney FC fans are encouraged to don gear from the early seasons of the Hyundai A-League as the Club celebrates “Retro Round”.
The crew at CCMFans.net in conjunction with the Central Coast Mariners Official Supporters Club (CCMOSC) have organised a function in the Scenic Lounge at Central Coast Leagues Club from 5:30pm, with Mariners Ambassador Lawrie McKinna and other special guests speaking before the big game against Sydney FC.
