Mariners song and dance at Western Plains Zoo

The Central Coast Mariners have been treated to a show at Dubbo’s Western Plains Zoo, in the build up to their pre-season friendly against Wellington Phoenix

The Central Coast Mariners have been treated to a show at Dubbo’s Western Plains Zoo, in the build up to their pre-season friendly against Wellington Phoenix, tomorrow night at Apex Oval.

The squad got up close and personal with the resident Giraffes, the locals appreciating the carrots on offer, more than they did rubbing shoulders, or necks, with the Mariners stars.

Lions and Tigers were also highlights, as a scheduled one hour visit easily doubled, the players thoroughly enjoying their time on the giant site.

But the stars of the show appeared last of all, when a pair of Siamang Apes took advantage of a captive audience, to put on a memorable show.

The Mariners visit to Dubbo continues tomorrow, when they take on Wellington Phoenix in a pre-season trial at Apex Oval. General Admission Tickets are $10 for Adults or $5 for Children/Concession.
