With 51 days still to go until the Club commences season nine of Australia-s top flight, Central Coast Mariners Group General Manager, Mr Peter Turnbull, is confident the Club can continue to grow its Member base.

“It is well documented that our Club-s target for the Hyundai A-League 2013/14 season in terms of Membership is 5,000 Members,” Turnbull said. “But we are naturally ecstatic that we have managed to topple our Member ‘PB- with the new Hyundai A-League season still the best part of two months away.”

“We have a number of plans in place to reach our goal of 5,000 Members, many of which are based around continued engagement with fans as the excitement builds leading into our round one clash against Western Sydney Wanderers in Gosford.”

While Turnbull acknowledged that the Club-s Member figures are far smaller than the likes of Melbourne Victory and the Wanderers, he said that the Mariners- new Member record and data recently shared with the Club by Football Federation Australia (FFA) highlights that the Club is moving in the right direction off the pitch.

“We sat down with officials from FFA recently who shared many Hyundai A-League and market specific insights with us following an extensive research period,” he said. “The data shows we are in a very sound position to grow our Club should we continue to work diligently.”

Turnbull praised the effort of the Mariners- administration staff and football department in helping boost the Club-s Member numbers, however reserved the biggest thanks to each of the Club-s 3,515 Members signed up so far.

“The emotional and financial commitment of our Members to the Club enables us to put a talented and dedicated team of players on the pitch representing the Central Coast region in the Hyundai A-League and AFC Champions League,” he said.

“We would like to acknowledge everyone that has joined as a Member for next campaign, and hope many more supporters will opt to sign up as Members. With six New South Wales derbies at Bluetongue Stadium next season and Melbourne Victory coming to the Coast twice, being a Member is the only way to guarantee entry to our marquee matches. We have many membership options to make sure you can see the Champions play – including three and six game memberships.”

In addition to the Mariners- 3,515 fully paid Members, the Club also had 545 youngsters registered via its ‘Mariners Mates- program.
