The Central Coast Mariners are proud to be hosting the inaugural Coast Cup, the first elite Under 15s & 16s tournament on the Central Coast. Held at the new Regional Sporting Complex in Tuggerah, this tournament features talented footballers from across NSW.

Central Coast Mariners Academy Director Ken Schembri is looking forward to the opportunities this tournament can bring to young footballers.

“The Coast Cup is an exciting opportunity for us to showcase the fantastic football talent in the NSW A-League academies, Football NSW NPL Clubs and selected talent identification squads. As a first, Football NSW Future Matildas will also participate against the boys in the Under 15 competition,” Schembri said.

“We are very fortunate to have the support of Central Coast Council, and to have the use of the new Regional Sporting Complex. To have a state of the art facility here on the Coast is a fantastic boost for participants of all sports, not just football and will help to attract more events to the local area.

The event will take place on Tuesday 9 & Wednesday 10 July, with the first games kicking off at 8:30am each day. The grand finals will take place at 4pm on Wednesday 10 July.

The clubs participating in the tournament include:

  • Central Coast Mariners Academy
  • Newcastle Jets Academy
  • Sydney FC Academy
  • Western Sydney Wanderers Academy
  • Marconi Stallions FC
  • Manly United FC
  • Edgeworth Eagles FC
  • Football NSW Talent Support Program
  • Football NSW Country
