Central Coast Mariners reaffirmed their commitment to Central Coast Group Training-s (CCGT) “Apprentice a day for 30 days” campaign launched this morning.

Mariners Chairman, Mr Peter Turnbull, kick-started the drive by announcing that two Central Coast locals would be given the opportunity to work with the club – one as an apprentice groundsman and the other in office administration.

The not-for-profit group CCGT has been the regions largest employer of apprentices and trainees for the past thirty years, and is seeking to partner with local businesses and companies in order to provide employment and education opportunities to the youth of the Central Coast.

“Naturally, we are proud to play an active role in this great local initiative,” Turnbull said.

“Supporting aspiring young workers is at the core of our club-s culture – particularly when you look at our player recruitment philosophy.”

“We always aim to identify, nurture and champion raw young talent through mentoring from our coaching staff and playing group leaders.”

CCGT and the Mariners are calling on all businesses across the Coast to consider an apprentice or trainee for their business.
