The Central Coast Mariners have announced a late change to our 18-player squad for this afternoon’s Round 16 Ninja A-League match against Melbourne Victory.
Fan favourite Isabel Gomez has recovered from her injury which has seen her sidelined since our Unite Round clash against the same opponent, returning to the squad for this afternoon’s match.
The midfielder was in career best form before being sidelined, getting named in her first Matildas squad before unfortunately having to withdraw from the team due to injury.
Gomez will replace Bianca Galic, who unfortunately sustained an injury in our final training session before departing to Melbourne. For Bianca’s wellbeing, she will sadly not be playing this afternoon, however the injury is unlikely to see her miss any sizeable amount of time.
