The Central Coast Mariners are pleased to announce that this Friday night’s Ninja A-League match against Perth Glory will be our Pride Celebration Round.
As a part of the League wide Pride Celebration for 2025, which will be taking place across the two competitions between March 14th – 30th, our match on Friday will kick off the celebrations as the first officially designated Pride Celebration Match of the season.
Our Ninja A-League squad will be wearing Pride Cup socks for the game, while our traditional corner flags will be switched out with Pride corner flags.
Central Coast Mariners Ninja A-League captain Taren King is excited for this Friday night’s Pride Celebration Round, seeing it as a great way to promote both respect and acceptance.
“It is super exciting to have a Pride Celebration Round at the Central Coast Mariners. It is a community that I am proudly involved in, and I am really looking forward to this game on Friday night,” King said.
“Sport provides such a great platform to advocate for marginalised communities. We want everyone to feel safe, empowered and represented in football, so to be able to see players, officials, clubs and fans actively participating in Pride Celebration Round is a great way to promote respect and acceptance.”
