Lance & Calum raring to take the field

This Sunday at 3:00pm we take on Perth Glory and shortly after full time, by making a coin donation to Camp Quality you can join us on the pitch! We chatted to passionate Central Coast Mariners members Lance & Calum about the chance to get on the hallowed turf of Central Coast Stadium!

Lance (eight years of age) and Calum (nine years of age) will be a part of the excitement when we open the gates to Central Coast Stadium for all to enjoy. Lance is a seasoned pro who joined us on the pitch for a kick last season but this will be the first time for Calum who is pumped to get out there and have a run.

We interrupted Lance & Calum while they were playing some one-on-one out the back to have a chat to them about all things football, superheroes and the Central Coast Mariners.

Who is your favourite superhero?
Calum: Hulk
Lance: The Avengers

What will you do when you get onto the field?
Calum: Maybe play goalkeeper or play passing, run and race people.
Lance: Maybe play as a striker or goalkeeper, play with the ball.

What do you enjoy about Mariners games?
Calum: Cause it’s awesome! It’s good to see the goals in person instead of on TV. Also, I like playing on the drums in Bay 16. I like the FIFA truck, it’s awesome! I’d like Fabio Ferreira’s signature, please.
Lance: Going into Bay 16 and having stuff to eat, fairy floss and soft drink. I did very well on the FIFA truck and it was hard because we had eleven people. It had air conditioning. It was sick epic.

Do you have any advice or words for the Mariners?
Lance: When you’re playing just keep your positions. To all the Mariners players, you are the best and you are awesome!
Calum: Train hard!

Who are your favourite players?
Calum: Fabio Ferreira, Hutch, Glen Trifiro, Tim Cahill and Mark Bresciano,
Lance: Fabio Ferreira, Hutch, Glen Trifiro, Tim Cahill and Mile Jedinak
