The Central Coast Mariners can confirm that Lachlan Bayliss has been released by the club to pursue other opportunities.
The midfielder has been a long-term member of the Central Coast Mariners academy, featuring regularly for our NPL first grade team this season.
He has scored nine goals this campaign, helping the side to be placed seventh currently on the NPL NSW ladder.
Bayliss has been offered an opportunity elsewhere, with the Mariners opting to not stand in his way.
Central Coast Mariners head coach Nick Montgomery thanks Bayliss for his time at the club and wishes him well for the future.
“We want to thank Lachlan for being an ultimate professional during his time at the club. We had a good conversation about the opportunity that has come about for him and whilst we didn’t want to lose him, we also did not want to stand in his way,” he said.
“We wish Lachlan the very best for the future and thank him for his time at the Mariners.”
Bayliss also thanks the club for the past six years, wishing everyone at the Mariners the best.
“I’d like to thank everyone at the Mariners for everything that they have done for me over the last six years. All of the staff and players along the years have helped me to develop into the player and person I am today,” he said.
“There has been many unforgettable experiences which I will cherish for the rest of my career. I wish everyone at the club the very best for the future.”
