Blacktown City are the home team for this match, and the Central Coast Mariners thank them and Mid-Western Regional Council for being able to bring this match to Mudgee.
Central Coast Mariners CEO Shaun Mielekamp expressed his excitement to be heading west next month.
“We are thrilled to be able to kick off our FFA Cup campaign in regional NSW and return to Mudgee where we played many years ago. Being able to work with Blacktown City to take this match to Mudgee is also a fantastic example of how football at all levels can collaborate and the FFA Cup is the perfect competition to showcase this” Mielekamp said.
“We will be working with the local club, the Mudgee Gulgong Wolves to make sure they get to maximise the opportunity and generate some revenue for football in the region.”
“I simply cannot wait to get out there, and I’m sure plenty of Coasties are already booked to make the trip and enjoy the freedom to finally be able to visit such an amazing part of NSW.”
“The Mid-Western Regional Council needs to be commended and I want to pay a particular thanks to Mayor Des Kennedy who has been tremendous in bringing this together. The stadium is fantastic and Mid-Western Regional Council has been so accommodating that I am sure that this will mean that Glen Willow Sporting Complex is a venue we will look to return to as soon as we can making sure that this will not just be a one-off match” Mielekamp concluded.
