Central Coast Mariners have added further depth to their Ninja A-League squad ahead of the new women’s season, confirming on Saturday the signings of the versatile Alexia Karrys-Stahl, forward Kiara De Domizio and defender Rebecca Lake.
Karrys-Stahl returns to the Coast for a second stint after making 16 appearances during the Club’s return to the competition in Season 2023-24. She was selected into Canberra United’s Academy before featuring for its A-League Women side in 2021-22. Since leaving the Mariners in 2024, she has been a key player for NPL Women’s NSW sides Illawarra Stingrays and 2026 Grand Finalists UNSW FC, and represented Australia internationally in futsal. She took up an overseas opportunity with Indonesian side MSP Merdeka Juara earlier this year, and arrives back in the Central Coast to return to outdoor football to the delight of fans who enjoyed her performances in her previous outings at the Mariners.
De Domizio arrives from Canberra United, where she spent 2025-26 after two seasons at Western United. Known in Victoria as the “Clutch Queen” for her impact off the bench, the forward scored her first A-League Women goal against the Mariners in March 2024, an 82nd-minute equaliser at Gosford that secured Western United’s first home Elimination Final. She followed it in 2024-25 with a stoppage-time header on her first touch off the bench to defeat Sydney FC.
With electric pace, a proven knack for decisive moments and three seasons of A-League Women experience behind her, De Domizio gives the Mariners a dynamic attacking option with the power to change games.
Lake, a New Zealand youth and futsal international centre-back, arrives from Vietnamese club Thái NguyĂŞn T&T, where she became the club’s first foreign player earlier this year. The 27-year-old spent two seasons with Wellington Phoenix in the A-League Women, serving as vice-captain in her first season, and was part of Vancouver Rise’s inaugural Northern Super League championship-winning side in 2025, playing the full match in the 2-1 grand final win over AFC Toronto.
Previously captaining Canterbury United Pride during its three-peat of New Zealand national league titles completed in 2020, Lake was drafted into the Football Ferns squad in October 2025, adding to her storied successes overseas that she will be looking to build on in Australia and in the yellow and navy.
All three players have linked up with Dean Heffernan’s squad in training ahead of the 2026-27 season, which begins away to Brisbane Roar on Saturday 17 October.
