Central Coast Mariners’ Football Manager Mark Jackson is up for a second consecutive Isuzu UTE A-League Coach of the Month award, after being nominated for January.
Jackson was the winner of the December 2023 award after his team went unbeaten and they have certainly started 2024 where they left off.
The good form continued into January as his team went unbeaten again, earning him another nomination and the chance of a second consecutive personal award.

The team started the month with a hard-fought 1-0 win at Commbank, with Marco Tulio striking a stunner in his farewell game.
Many believed Tulio’s departure would be an issue for Mariners on the creative front but Jackson has dealt with losing one of his star players by placing his trust in his other attacking options, including youngsters Miguel Di Pizio, Jing Reec and Bailey Brandtman, to ensure the team’s form did not suffer.
Reec came off the bench to snatch a late equaliser at Unite Round against Melbourne Victory at Allianz Arena to keep the unbeaten run alive, before the team rounded off the month with two big home wins.
Melbourne City were beaten thanks to a late Angel Torres goal, after Christian Theoharous’ first A-Leage goal for the club had been cancelled out.
The team ran out 2-0 winners against Brisbane Roar to round off the month, 18-year-old starlet Di Pizio firing his first A-League goal before Torres was on target again with a fine solo goal late on.

Jackson and the team have continued their fine form into February, as they sit 2nd in the A-League, three points behind leaders Wellington Phoenix and have booked their place in the AFC Cup Inter-Zonal Semi-Final against Odisha FC.
They are next in action in the F3 Derby against Newcastle Jets at McDonald Jones Stadium this Saturday, before returning home for that huge AFC Cup tie on Thursday evening.
