Thousands of existing Mariners members and many more supporters of the yellow and navy cause have already secured their seats to next Wednesday’s blockbuster against Korean FA Cup winners Pohang Steelers – a clash that will commence the Mariners’ maiden charge towards the most prestigious trophy in Asia.
What a setting it promises to be against the backdrop of the iconic Brisbane Waters – the Mariners, a club in its infancy and backed by a community of some 300,000 people, accepting a challenge from a Korean heavyweight with six domestic trophies and two AFC Champions League titles stored away in its club-owned Steelyard Stadium.
Children’s tickets for the Mariners’ continental debut start at $7, concessions can gain entry from $13 , while family tickets for two adults and two children begin at $41.
Beyond the affordability of individual match day tickets, a 3-day pass can save match goers 15% on their match day ticket prices, which gets mum, dad and two children to all three games from $105.
“We want all the community of the Central Coast and its surrounding areas to experience this historic and exciting moment with their club and we are delighted to have been able to provide all supporters with such affordable ticketing options, particularly in tough economic times like these,” said Mariners Executive Chairman Lyall Gorman.
“We’ll be showcasing the Central Coast to the world and a packed house will add so much to what will be an already amazing scene at one of the most picturesque venues on offer to Asia.
“This is such an exciting time for our club and I extend an invitation to all football fans from far and wide to join us for the beginning of this amazing journey as we welcome the Pohang Steelers to our home town.”
The Gosford waterfront will be abuzz with activity from 5pm prior to the Mariners’ clash with Pohang on Wednesday, 11 March, with free entertainment, fun, Asian culture and food on offer for all the family.
