Alen Stajcic has named his extended squad for Hyundai A-League Round 21 as the Mariners look to snap a six-game losing streak when they take on Western United.
The Mariners have shown promise the past two weeks in strong performances against Adelaide United and Sydney FC but have gone down 2-0 and 3-0 respectively, and need to bounce back here in Geelong.
The last time Stajcic’s men made this trip was in January where they suffered a 3-0 defeat to the league newcomers, with all the goals coming inside the opening 20 minutes.
This week, the 18-man group from the loss to Sydney remains intact but with the key additions of Kye Rowles and Dylan Fox to the defensive stocks.
Rowles is back in after missing the previous two matches through injury, while Fox was 19th man on the weekend against Sydney.
