The Mariners’ Foxtel Y-League team will welcome the Newcastle Jets to Pluim Park on Tuesday night, with the hosts looking to continue an undefeated start to the season in the Youth #F3Derby.
A 5-0 thrashing of Western Sydney Wanderers in their last outing capped off a strong first three rounds and painted Nick Montgomery’s side as a potential challenger for the conference and league.
The match was originally scheduled to be played on Saturday, 7th December but was postponed due to bushfire smoke and Montgomery’s side have now had a long run-in stretching back to the round three win against Wanderers.
Hear from Monty ahead of tomorrow's Youth #F3Derby, with his side able to move into outright first with a win.

With Sydney FC drawing against Canberra United on the weekend, the opportunity is ripe for the Mariners to go outright top of the conference at the halfway mark, but Montgomery played down any talk of extra motivation.
“I don’t think it does [add anything],” he said.
“As I’ve said before, for me it’s 8 cup finals in a short season, and at the end of the day we can’t worry about other results.”
“We’ve got to worry about ourselves, and that starts with the Jets tomorrow night in the derby.”
“It’s going to be good game, hopefully a decent crowd at Pluim Park and as we said it’s another opportunity for us to perform, to concentrate on ourselves and get a result.”
The Mariners sit three points ahead of tonight’s opponents, and a win would take them to 10, ahead of Sydney FC with all teams having played four matches.
It will be a quick turnaround for Monty’s side though, as they then prepare to host Canberra United at Pluim Park once more on Saturday morning.
