Central Coast Mariners’ newest recruit Fabio Ferreira is raring to go against Brisbane Roar tonight and determined to have a positive impact in the Friday night football fixture at Central Coast Stadium, KICK OFF IS 7:40pm.
After transferring from Adelaide United two weeks ago, Ferreira has kept to a strict fitness regime since his arrival in preparation for tonight’s match.
Ferreira has slotted seamlessly into the playing squad’s tight knit culture and tonight the Portuguese winger is ready to show the Central Coast fans what he has to offer.
“I’m very ready, I’ve been training hard to get myself ready for tonight and I’m really looking forward to the game.
“When I’m on the field I want to score a few goals or get an assist and help win the game,” Ferreira said.
A week on from last round’s 2-1 victory over Adelaide United, Ferreira ensured the fans and members that his team mates were full of confidence after the come-from-behind win over his former club.
“The boys have been good, it was a great win last week and obviously we needed it. Tonight I’m confident that we can pick up another three points and continue to go up and up,” Ferreira said.
Head coach Phil Moss is excited to see what his newest recruit will bring to the side and praised the former Sporting Lisbon junior for his intensity on the training pitch.
“Ferreira is in the squad and he will certainly play a part in the game, he’s certainly taken training to another level, he’s such a fantastic professional and on his day he’s a match winner. I can’t wait to see what he does for our team,” Moss said.
