CENTRAL Coast Mariners wish to advise that despite Swiss Super League side FC Luzern announcing the signing of midfielder Oliver Bozanic on a two-year contract overnight, no transfer paperwork has yet been lodged with the reigning Hyundai A-League Champions.

Central Coast Mariners gave permission for Bozanic to travel to Switzerland this week to undergo a medical, train with the Club-s first team and meet the management of the two-time Swiss Cup winners.

Central Coast Mariners Group General Manager, Mr Peter Turnbull, said: “While we do expect Oliver to be transferred and are satisfied that we-ve helped groom yet another young Australian player, we believe FC Luzern should have finalised the appropriate paperwork before making any announcement.”

“Naturally, we wish Oliver all the best in the Swiss top flight should the deal be finalised, however it is now up to FC Luzern to fulfil their duties regarding the transfer.”

Central Coast Mariners will make no further comment regarding this matter at this time, however will update media if the transfer paperwork is finalised.
