Last time out
After winning their first four games of the season, Glory have now won just one of their last five matches and come into this game off the back 1-0 defeat away to Western United.
They will be looking to stay in touching distance of league leaders Melbourne who now sit six points top after defeating Brisbane Roar 5-3 on Thursday evening.
Mariners on the other hand are buoyed by two strong showings in response to their 3-0 defeat at Western Sydney Wanderers at the start of December.
Husband’s team picked up an impressive point at home to City, before defeating Canberra United last time out.
Wurigumala stole the show in the Capital, opening the scoring with the Goal of the Round Winner and a sure Goal of the Season contender in the first 45.
The Chinese international then made it a brace for herself in the second half, before Peta Trimis rounded off the scoring with her first A-League goal.

Players to watch
Wurigumala’s brace against Canberra sees her move onto three as the Mariners top scorer and Husband will be hoping that she can continue that form in front of goal and net her first at Industree Group Stadium.
For Perth, Susan Phonsongkham and Grace Jale have both also netted three, but Millie Farrow leads the way with four in total. That includes a hat-trick against Melbourne City three weeks ago.
Emily Husband
Husband reflected on the performance last time out and what the squad can take from two successive positive displays into New Years’ Eve in her pre-match press conference.

Ex-Glory stopper Langman was also on pre-match media duty for the Mariners, speaking to the press ahead of taking on her former side.
Langman spoke about coming into a ‘professional environment’ at the Mariners, and how the squad is coming together and building momentum in the Liberty A-League.
