After a stellar season with PS4 NPL Victoria side Heidelberg United and an impressive trial stint in Yellow and Navy, striker Dan Heffernan was snapped up by the Central Coast Mariners to join the squad ahead of Hyundai A-League Season 2015/16. Heffernan is a human highlights reel up front, holding the record for the fastest ever Westfield FFA Cup goal for Heidelberg United in 2015 and also memorably making a mark on trial with the Mariners, scoring a pre-season hat trick against the Western Sydney Wanderers. The Manchester born striker took an unlikely path to the Hyundai A-League, originally beginning his career with English side Salford City before seeking a change of pace in country Victoria with Shepparton Soccer Club and then finding his way to Heidelberg. Regardless of location though, Heffernan has an insatiable hunger for goals and will be looking to add a few in the Hyundai A-League to his name.
