A message from Greg Brownlow, Chief Executive Officer
To our supporters, sponsors, partners, volunteers, media, and the wider Central Coast
community – this is for you.
We’re entering a new chapter for the Central Coast Mariners – a time of renewal, stability, and
forward motion. You deserve to hear from us directly about where we are now.
Strength on the field
Our football program remains robust and competitive. The squad is fit, focused, and united in
purpose. Pre-season intensity has been strong, and the playing group – backed by exceptional
football staff – is ready to take the momentum into the season ahead. We are developing depth, discipline, and consistency that reflects who we are: a club that never drifts.
Leadership and direction
We have secured an interim coaching structure to guide the team while the appointment for a
permanent head coach progresses. And, in the spirit of full transparency – we would like to
announce Warren Moon as interim head coach ahead of the Isuzu UTE A-League 2025-26
season.
Moon arrives in Gosford this week, and will lead the team onto the pitch this Sunday ahead of
the Newcastle Jets F3 derby. Football doesn’t stop – it steers forward. And so are we.
Community first
This club belongs to the Coast. Every decision we make – on and off the pitch – is for the people who build this region’s heartbeat. You’ll see more of us returning to local schools, community events, and grassroots football – because the Mariners exist with the Coast and #FortheCoast.
Ownership and long-term sustainability
The Mariners’ strength has always come from long-term commitment and people development. Under the ownership of Mike Charlesworth, the club has sought the right investments to secure a sustainable future. Those conversations continue, and when there’s news to share, you’ll hear it from us first – directly and openly.
Thank you
To everyone who has stood by the Mariners – your loyalty, patience, and belief mean everything.
You’ve earned our honesty and our effort to repay it in full. We’re not just rebuilding a club –
we’re rebuilding trust, pride, and belonging. This is your club. It always has been, and it always
will be.
#FortheCoast
