The Central Coast Mariners have partnered with popular local Physiotherapy & Sports Medicine clinic, Coast Sport who will take on the physiotherapy requirements for the club’s Foxtel National Youth League team.
Coast Sport is a leader in provision of Physiotherapy, Podiatry, Exercise Physiology, Sports Nutrition, Clinical Pilates and Massage services to the Central Coast community. Located at the Central Coast Mariners Centre of Excellence in Tuggerah, Coast Sport have partnered with the Mariners and will work closely with the Mariners Foxtel National Youth League Coaching Staff to ensure that the next crop of exciting talent receive the best possible physiotherapy treatment.
Matt Cranney, Director and Physiotherapist at Coast Sport is “pleased to be partnering with the Mariners as it provides an ideal fit for Coast Sport and our passion for working with local elite athletes,” Cranney said.
The team at Coast Sport were involved with pre-season screenings for all academy players and will support the Mariners academy teams across all levels, providing seasonal coverage for boys, girls, men and women’s academy. Michael Torbica, Coast Sport Physiotherapist is “thrilled to be keeping our local elite football stars in tip top condition” and is “Super pumped for a great season, hopefully with minimal injuries,” Torbica said.
Education is a priority for Coast Sport who will be delivering a variety of educational workshops for academy players, parents and coaches covering all aspects of health and fitness to ensure optimal performance including sports nutrition, injury management and prevention and foot health.
“Ensuring our athletes and those around them are properly informed to keep them performing at the highest level is a priority for us,” Director and Physiotherapist at Coast Sport, Brett Doring said.
Doring has been touring with the Australian Dolphins Swim team and knows all about the importance of keeping elite athlete’s bodies finely tuned.
