The Central Coast Mariners are excited to launch the club’s brand new Hyundai A-League 2019/20 playing kit with Umbro Australia.
The new strip was debuted at the Member exclusive ‘MarinerPalooza’ event on Friday night on the Coast, and the design harks back to that worn by the club in the inaugural season of the Hyundai A-League.

The blue-striped right shoulder is a throwback to the early days, with the Mariners traditional yellow serving as the base of the jersey.
Four palm trees and the words ‘The Community Club’ adorn the back just below the collar, a nod to the Mariners’ presence on the Central Coast and the role the club plays locally.
With the Masterfoods logo once more on the front of the jersey, it is assured the famous sauce bottles will be on display during the 2019/20 season at Central Coast Stadium.
Mariners CEO Shaun Mielekamp said the kit was an exciting chance to connect the club with its roots once again.
“This kit follows on from our recent FFA Cup kit launch, paying homage to the past in particular our original jersey with one navy sleeve and one yellow sleeve,” Mielekamp said.

“We have gone with the traditional, clean yellow base of the jersey and it bears strong resemblance to our kit from the 2012/13 Grand Final kit, which remains an important moment for our club and supporters.”
“Ultimately, it gives our fans something to connect to the core values of the club, and all of us at the Mariners are excited for this to become an iconic strip in the history of our club.”
Mielekamp admitted that there was a late change to the strip ahead of the planned launch, which caused a stir in social media during the week.
“We did have a design that made it most of the way through the process, before it was changed at the very end,” he said.
“Some people would have seen that kit doing the rounds yesterday thanks to a little prank from Danny DeSilva, this ensure there was some hype and mystery around what the kit would be.”
The kit is now available for pre-order here, and is available in a range of styles and sizes including a Ladies cut and children’s sizing.
