Central Coast Mariners duo Jessika Nash and Isabel Gomez have been called up to the CommBank Matildas’ squad for upcoming fixtures against Brazil and Chinese Taipei.
Interim Head Coach, Tom Sermanni, has named an extended 36-player squad for four fixtures between November 28th and December 7th which contains an exciting blend of youth and experience, local and international based players, new faces and Matildas legends.

It’s a particularly special moment for Gomez, who earns her first senior call-up having previously represented Australia at Youth level, whilst Nash is recalled for the first time since debuting as a 17-year-old.
The two are fully deserving of call-ups, catching the eye of Sermanni after each playing pivotal roles in a strong start for Emily Husband’s Mariners side in the Ninja A-League, taking four points from two challenging early fixtures.
Gomez excelled last season, her first with the Mariners, missing just one game as her consistent performances in midfield saw her swoop three trophies at the 2023/24 Mariners Medal Dinner and she has taken that form into the beginning of 2024/25.
Nash meanwhile, has made a very impressive start to her Mariners career after arriving from Melbourne Victory, she was Player of the Match in her debut game against reigning Champions Sydney FC, with Gomez on the scoresheet in a stunning 3-1 win for the Mariners.
The team then took a solid point from an away trip to Western United in Round Two last Friday, a first Mariners clean sheet for Nash who once again was strong in defence, whilst Gomez made a milestone 50th Ninja A-League appearance.
Before heading off on international duty, Nash and Gomez will be hoping to continue the Mariners’ strong start to the season as they face Melbourne City on Saturday, before the Mariners take on Melbourne Victory at Unite Round next weekend.
