Bradley Tapp to depart Mariners at end of 2025/26 season

Central Coast Mariners can today confirm that Bradley Tapp will depart the club at the end of the season, upon the expiration of his contract.

Tapp leaves to pursue an exciting opportunity overseas, departing with the best wishes of everyone at the club after an outstanding seven-year stint on the Coast.

After joining the club in 2019, Tapp captained our Academy team to the Championship and Promotion to NPL in 2022, before making his Isuzu UTE A-League Men’s debut in Round 2 of the 2023/24 season.

Tapp went on to make 27 appearances in all competitions in a breakout season on a personal level, contributing to our historic A-League Premiership, Championship, and AFC Cup treble under Mark Jackson.

He started the following season in promising form, establishing himself as a leader in the team, but unfortunately suffered a season-ending ACL injury after just six games in the A-League and AFC Champions League Elite.

Returning stronger than ever this season and continuing his upward trajectory, Tapp has been an ever-present for Warren Moon, regularly wearing the captain’s armband, while scoring his first A-League goal against Sydney FC at Our Paradise in December 2025.

He leaves the Mariners after a total of 60 appearances having established himself as a fan-favourite, and a fantastic ambassador of the club and our esteemed Academy pathway.

Ahead of his departure, Tapp said:

“I will be forever grateful to all of the Mariners Family – the staff, players and fans who have supported my football journey over the past seven years.

“The Mariners will always hold a special place in my heart.”

Central Coast Mariners Sporting Director Matt Simon also added his best wishes, on behalf of the club:

“Brad has been an outstanding servant for the club over the last seven years, from graduating from the Academy to winning the treble and going on to captain the team, his journey is one that as a club we are extremely proud of.

“Everyone at the Mariners wishes Brad all the best for the next chapter in his journey and the rest of his career.”

The 25-year-old’s final game will be this Saturday’s F3 Derby at McDonald Jones Stadium, where fans will have the opportunity to give him a deserved farewell.
