Mariners skipper Oliver Bozanic has implored the Coast to get behind the Mariners this weekend as they return to action at Central Coast Stadium.
Him and the side are looking to bounce back from a loss in Melbourne on Monday and retain their place at the summit of the A-League table.
A Coast local who played his junior football at Avoca and won a grand final with the Mariners, Bozanic knows the importance of the link between the Mariners and the Community and his hoping to see a bumper crowd on Saturday with the game shaping up as an important one.
“We’ve been working hard all season; we’ve been getting great results and we’re looking forward to growing the crowd every week,” he said.
“There’s been such good community spirit throughout this campaign so far and we really need that again, especially this weekend.”
“We’re calling on all of the coast to get behind us and really back us for this big game.”
Bozanic is feeling good with the halfway mark of the season reached, and with three games inside the next 11 days Saturday’s clash dawns as an important contest and Bozanic said Victory are not to be taken lightly, regardless of results.
“Victory are still a very strong club and a very strong team, they’ll be a difficult opponent but what we do is focus on ourselves, train hard and look forward to the game,” he said.
“I feel great, I’ve enjoyed the first part of the season, but there’s still many games to go.”
“We’re improving every week and looking forward to every game as it comes.”
