Regional Rivalry!
With a rich history of spiteful and intense battles between the Jets and Mariners, this Round 1 installment of the #F3Derby should be no different. Both Clubs will be desperate to get the edge over their bitter rivals when the teams clash in Gosford this afternoon. With the added spice of ex-Mariner Marcos Flores making some wild claims about his treatment while with the yellow and navy earlier this week, things are about to get heated!
Affordable Entry!
If you’re already one of the 5,300-odd people that can call themselves a Mariners Member for Hyundai A-League 2014/15, then there’s no need to even read this bit because your favourite seat is already locked in! But if you don’t have your Membership yet, then don’t fret! Tickets are as cheap as $13 for the kiddies and as little as $25 for adults, and can be purchased online or at the gate. With such affordable entry to today’s blockbuster, there’s no reason to not attend the first #F3Derby of Hyundai A-League season 10.
Goals galore?
With six of the seven goals netted in the last two encounters between the Mariners and Jets being before half time, the fans can look forward to goals in this afternoon’s game! With Newcastle losing Adam Taggart, their only player to score over three goals last season to Fulham in the off-season, the Jets look the less likely of the two rivals to contribute to what could be a goal frenzy in Gosford.
A Celebration!
This year’s #F3Derby will play host to a bunch of celebrations! Firstly the Hyundai A-League’s 10th season! Join the party as Australia’s top flight hits double figures. Another reason to celebrate is because it’s our captain John Hutchinson’s 10th season in the Hyundai A-League. Hutch is one of only two players – the other is Melbourne Victory’s Archie Thompson – to have played for the same Club for ten seasons in a row! The Mariners’ Mr. Consistent would love as much support from the home fans as possible to spur his team onto another victory against the Jets!
