Central Coast Mariners are pleased to announce that Bartercard, Australia-s leading goods and services trading company, have joined forces with the defending Hyundai A-League Champions for season nine of the competition.
Active in Australia for 22 years, Bartercard possess over 20,000 business clients in Australia alone, and provide their members with the opportunity to connect with each other and capitalise on unrealised potential in their business.
From the Mariners- Hyundai A-League opener against Western Sydney Wanderers at Bluetongue Stadium tonight, through to the completion of the Club-s 2013/14 domestic campaign, Bartercard branding will appear on the Club-s home and away playing shorts, training shorts, and corporate inventory.
An innovative and modern company, Bartercard have invested over $84 million into sports sponsorship in Australia over the past two decades, however this is the first time the company has collaborated with a Hyundai A-League side.
Bartercard General Manager, Mr Andrew Barker, said the company is looking to work closely with the Mariners throughout the duration of the alliance to achieve a range of mutual benefits.
“We-ve got a great stable of tier one sponsorships in the National Rugby League, Super Rugby, and National Basketball League, but this is the first opportunity to bring an A-League Champion Club into the Bartercard stable,” Mr Barker said.
“The Mariners and the Hyundai A-League will expose the Bartercard brand to a very different market in a very different part of the year, enabling us to build our business.”
“We-re particularly excited by the range of community programs the Mariners do, and we believe our local operations on the Central Coast and in Newcastle stand to benefit,” he said.
Central Coast Mariners Group General Manager, Mr Peter Turnbull, said Bartercard-s sponsorship just before the commencement of the Hyundai A-League 2013/14 campaign, is a show of confidence in the Club-s direction.
“This announcement continues the trend of increasing corporate support the Club has enjoyed since being crowned Hyundai A-League Champions,” Mr Turnbull said.
“We-re excited to have Bartercard backing the Mariners. Bartercard represents an unique way for businesses to trade with each other, and we are honoured to have them as a partner.”
“Bartercard have over 20,000 business clients across Australia, so this partnership will also give us an unprecedented opportunity to interact with those businesses,” he said.
As of Friday afternoon, the Mariners had a record 5,448 Members signed up for the Hyundai A-League 2013/14 season, and approximately 300 on-sale tickets left for the Club-s round 1 blockbuster against Wanderers in Gosford.
