Barrett returns to Mariners Female Program

The Central Coast Mariners are pleased to announce the appointment of Dan Barrett as the Mariners women’s NPL first grade coach and technical director for the women’s program.

Backed by over 20 years of experience coaching the women’s game, Barrett comes to the Mariners with a keen eye on continuing to improve the female program.

Having coached Sydney FC and Western Sydney Wanderers in the A-League Women’s competition, Barrett now returns to the Central Coast.

He had previously spent four years with the Mariners as the Head of Female Performance.

Currently also working as the head of women’s football at Central Coast Sports College, Barrett joins the Mariners with the aim of helping develop the next generation of women’s football talent in the area.

“I’m very excited to be back working in the women’s space. There’s so much potential in female football on the Central Coast and there is already so much potential in the academy at the moment,” Barrett said.

“It is about making sure that we can make that potential reach its full potential. There’s exciting things on the horizon here with Central Coast Mariners and women’s football and I’m very happy to be back and be proud of it.”
