AUCTION: Mariners support Troy Waters

Central Coast Mariners are putting all their love and support behind Troy Waters, a boxing legend who was recently diagnosed with a rare form of Leukaemia.

Troy has been a massive part of the Central Coast Mariners over the last ten years. He has dedicated his time and boxing expertise every pre-season since the Mariners began.

Indeed, it was only a couple of weeks ago that Troy was pushing the boys to their limits at training. However, within a matter of days was hospitalised with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia, a rare form of blood cancer.

Troy has a beautiful wife, Michelle, and two gorgeous kids, Nate and Shontae. Michelle, Nate and Shontae, like the Mariners, are standing strong by this amazing man.

On Tuesday 12 August, 22 autographed Mariners playing kits will be placed on Ebay for auction. All proceeds raised from these exclusive items will go directly to Troy and the Waters family to help them through this challenging time.

Mariners skipper John Hutchinson and his wife, Kate, have also set up a Facebook page to update supporters of auction items and links to bid, plus news about Troy’s fight. Search for “Central Coast Mariners Auction for Troy Waters” on Facebook, or CLICK HERE to view and like the page.

This is one of the toughest fights of Troy’s life, but with the support of his family, friends, and the Mariners community, combined with his own strength and determination, this is a battle he will win.
