Central Coast Mariners Academy teams continued their weekly charge with 6 wins and 2 draws for the competition teams.

The Academy Boys teams travelled to Christie Park at North Ryde on Saturday to play Spirit FC. The day kicked off with the Grade 13 Boys securing a 3-0 win over Spirit and followed with wins for the Grade 14 (5-1), 15 (2-0) and 16 (2-0) Academy teams. Unfortunately the 18s were unable to secure a win but with a total of 12 points won by the Academy teams on the day the club-s hopes of securing the 2012 Club Championship for the Boys Super Youth Teams remains a realistic goal.

On Sunday the Girls and Womens Academy teams travelled to Sutherland to play Sutherland in Round 15 of the Women-s Premier League. A day of two draws, two wins and one loss for the Coast teams saw the teams come away with 8 points for the 2012 Women-s Premier League Club Championship.

The Grade 12 and Reserve Grade teams both had 1-1 draws. The Grade 16 Girls and the First Grade women both secured 2-1 wins against Sutherland. For the 16s Girls, this further cemented their place at the top of the table whilst for the First Grade Women-s team, the three points puts them in eighth position just behind Marconi Stallions.

In the Women-s competition, Marconi and the Central Coast Mariners Academy are due to play this Tuesday night 3rd July at Pluim Park in a make-up game that both will be eager to win as finals time draws near. Kick off is at 8pm at Pluim Park, Lisarow.
